Soulja Boy Says Baby Trying To Sign Him To Cash Money

Birdman is looking to add another potential superstar to his roster by attempting to sign Soulja Boy.

Soulja told Rap-Up the two have already met face to face to face to discuss the possible move.

“I met with Baby and Slim down in Miami,” Soulja said. “He’s trying to get me to come over to Cash Money.”

It would be an interesting move for Soulja, who already has his own label, Stacks on Deck Entertainment. The allure of working with someone he has been a fan is compelling to Soulja though.

“I’ve been a fan of Cash Money since I was young. I’ve been listening to Birdman’s music since I was growing up. I would have never thought” Soulja added.

There is the issue of Soulja's contract with Interscope that would obviously have to be dealt with. The rapper owes them 2 more albums.

“I still got paperwork with Interscope Records, so I’m just trying to figure out what I’ma do. I got a lot of great options on the table,” he said.

Lil Wayne Owes $5.6 Million In Unpaid Federal Taxes

Platinum-selling hip-hop star Lil Wayne is in town tonight, live at the Palace. Don't be surprised if the IRS is waiting backstage to collect on a brand new $5.6 million tax bill.

The IRS filed the enormous tax lien against him Monday in Miami.

Seems Lil Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter, can't shake the tax man. In December, he paid off a $1.13 million federal tax lien, only to fall even deeper in debt this time.

What's owed:

The IRS filed a $5,610,034 tax lien against Carter on March 28 with the Miami-Dade County Clerk. According to the lien he owes income taxes from 2008-09.

The address on the tax bill is his $12.9 million, 15,101-square-foot mansion on a private Miami Beach island.

Street Drummer Files Lawsuit Against MTV Over His Unauthorized Appearance In Nicki Minaj Documentary

Billboard reports: A camera-shy subway busker is suing MTV and its parent company Viacom in New Jersey Federal Court, claiming his privacy was violated and his reputation was tarnished when his image appeared on the documentary show "Nicki Minaj: My Time Now."

Street drummer Mike Alaska, whose real name is Michael Savely, appeared fleetingly during the opening of a show about the music and life of the Grammy-nominated rapper.

He claims that he was filmed by the show's producers in November 2010 and approached to sign a waiver. He refused, he says, because he was concerned that "the footage would misrepresent his connection with other artists whose style conflict with the one that he has developed."

Despite his refusal to grant permission to the music network, he says, his image appeared on the show in December 2010.

Savely, 26, who often sports a foot-high mohawk, says his business teaching drumming to children was damaged by his appearance on the show.

He also complained that the footage was blurry.

"Savely understands that the reason many of the parents of the students he teaches employ his services is because they can trust him to provide their children with something more modern yet not corrupt," according to the suit.

Minaj, 26, on the other hand, "dresses provocatively, uses profanity and glorifies a specific lifestyle," all of which is contrary to Savely's more "conservative" image, he says in court papers.

His image began to appear on the show in December 2010, after which his tutoring business and T-shirt sales went downhill, Savely says.

Despite the fact that Savely was drumming on a public subway platform, he claims MTV violated his privacy. When reached for comment, Savely requested money for his interview. Viacom declined to comment.
